Re: has any women out there
Nope but know you haven't to do any heavy lifting for at least six weeks. Hope you take it easy and give your body time to heal!!!!

Re: has any women out there
Had mine last augast and staples came out 5 days after op. My advice is take it easy and dont push yourself until you are ready. you will feel better but that dosent mean you are. Get well soon xx

Re: has any women out there
It's 18 years since I had this op. I was in hospital 5 days afterwards and went home feeling fine but tiring very quickly. For several weeks I had good days and bad days but felt well enough to drive myself to the hospital for my post-op check-up, 6 weeks later. I went back to work 8 weeks after the op, doing 4 hours a day for 2 weeks, then 5 hours for 2 weeks, then 6 hours for another 2 weeks before I went back full time.
My only advice is - take each day as it comes, do exactly what the medical staff have told you, rest as much as you can and never refuse any offer of help while you're convalescing. Just like me, you'll have the Summer to recover in and, with any luck, it won't pee down every day for the next couple of months.
Best wishes.

Re: has any women out there
I had one 3 weeks ago. Am ok, just bored stupid and frustrated at not being able to do anything.
If I do to much I get pain in my stomach and I swell up really bad. Its hard not to lift especially when as I have a 2 year old. I also tire really easily, but one thing I can say is that do listen and take it easy, I lost one of my stitches and it freaked me out because I had done to much. Its only just hit me in the last few days what I really had done, at first I thought it was a breeze!!
Take care have a look at this site its ok.
