Accymad, I have only just seen this post. I have put the timetable on for you.
I hope this helps.
I know the timetable is from 2013 and there was talk of the bus service being stopped....but I think that pilky buses took it over( I hope that wasn't just a rumour).

Re: Hospital bus

Thank you Margaret, I tried the library for a timetable but the one you've kindly posted for the no. 14 bus was no longer available so wasn't sure if the service is still running.
I believe there's an 'open day' at our shiny new bus station today so will have a toddle down & see if they have any more info

I checked again and got Holmeswood coaches...but it is not clear if the information is current.
I guess a trip to the nes shiny bus station is probabky the right idea.
If there is not a bus direct then it means going into Blackburn and then getting a bus up the hill.
Public services do not seem to be run with the public in mind anymore.

Re: Hospital bus

There is no hospital bus service from Accrington. The 14 now only runs Accrington to Clitheroe. You have to go via Blackburn.

Re: Hospital bus

Thanks everyone, Dave is right - there is no longer a direct service to the hospital from Accrington, but I got to play on the spanking new route finder screen in the shiny new bus station which, as Cashy said was more or less deserted - think it will be easier to go by taxi to my appointment & then come back by bus when I'll have more time to negotiate the journey

Re: Hospital bus

What a shame. The ride on the hospital bus was a good one.....took you up to the tops of Accrington.
Why oh why, if the service is no longer active , do they have the timetable on the Internet?

Re: Hospital bus

Since Trans Pen has been introduced the subsidies have been drastically cut. There's loads more to come from now till September. I believe there's no subsidies at all from then. Transdev are the biggest culprit they have slashed nearly all services not on a main route to a town centre
