Never quite affected me like that Less, well not in the last 20 years or so, if I get hold of a new born I quite happy with the knowledge that I'll be giving the little darling back within minutes

As long as the woman is fit and able to take care of a child then it should be her choice. Wouldn't have done for me but then again that was my choice. I do find it abhorrent when I read of women in their sixties getting pregnant, there is just no justification for it IMO and I think it is a very selfish thing to do.

That's what I think too.

I don't think there's anything wrong with women in their 40s having babies but I do think it's wrong when women in their 60s have IVF to have babies.

Unfortunately children seem to have become a commodity in some strata of today's world, to be acquired after the 5 bedroom (two en-suite) home, his BMW, her 4X4 and the holiday cottage in France. Modern medicine has ensured that, if the potential child has any defects (Down's Syndrome is a greater risk the older the mother), it can be disposed of and the process repeated.

Well ok im only 42 and no kids .. but im not broody .. and do i want one .. dont know if i can afford one ..

think the reason behind the 45 plus is because they've either not got married and concentrated on their career instead and married late on or it could be they've married got divorced and remarried possibly to a younger fella and want a child with this one.
