Post International Medical and Health HELP...

Hi, Guys..!!!My Newfoundland has hadan ear infection for almost 2 weeks now. I am taking he tothe dr and they are giving he tablets for it but nothing seems to work. He onlygets these earcold this time of year. I was wonderingif anyone else has had this problem and what you did to solve it. I've suggested to put ear plugs in ears when she is around water to keep water out of her ears to see if that helps but she will not do that. I would appreciate any help.Best Regards..!!

Is it a dog you're talking about?

Re: International Medical and Health HELP...

I'm a bit confused as to whether it's a dog or a bitch. Anyway there are 2 possibilities, either kanker or mites, which are both likely in a fluufy-eared dog. In both cases there used to be powder that could be dusted in the ear cavity, which must be kept dry so no swimming and no baths. The vet should be able to sort it out fairly quickly and, if yours hasn't, I suggest you change vets.
