is accyweb dying?

i ask because today i went to collect my mum to look at a sheltered flat only to find the bottom half of elizabeth stret cordoned off with police standing guard. apparantly someone was stabbed lst night. now i assume that protecting the scene meant they were in a bad way and potentially about to turn in a murder enquiry. yet when i get chance to pop on here there isnt even a mention of it. 2 years ago it would have beeen a 50 + post thread by now.

so is the buzzz and energy no longer here?

No, I don't think it is dying. It is the holiday season after all....and yes I know there isn't much cash about but people still take days out when the tinlids are off school.
All forums have quieter times.

Re: is accyweb dying?

It was hectic, in the run up to the General, and local, elections.

Re: is accyweb dying?

Perhaps two years ago there would have been more posts regarding the incident, because members of the forum would have been involved with the stabbing.

I don't think Tinks is allowed to carry anything sharp nowadays.

A slap's easier to cope with, than her poking me with something with a blade on it.

Re: is accyweb dying?

I think the incident Enti is referring to is that of someone getting glassed, not exactly an unusual occurance these days. There are quite a few things which a few years ago would have merited a thread on here but which are now rarely mentioned. Last week saw yet another wacky baccy factory found, this time in Church. These now seem to be discovered every other week, but are not worth a mention on here.

Maybe we should start a sticky thread:

"SUSPECT WACKY BACCY FACTORY"

...and then everyone can post on here whenever they think they've got a new pot plant establishment starting production near them.

Members here would only think it newsworthy if there was no wacky baccy factory in Church.
