Re: Lcd Tv

Samsung

From www.247electicals.co.uk(cheapest place I found when getting one for MIL)

http://www.247electrical.co.uk/epage.../SAMLE26R87BDX

if you want 26" or

http://www.247electrical.co.uk/epage...d=31in_37in_hd

if you want 32"

Dig around if you want bigger

These are superb things with much better contrast than any other make I looked at (Sony, Panasonic, JVC)

The only caveat is that 100Hz LCDs are starting to come out which will give 'slightly' less flicker but TBH most people wouldn't be able to tell teh diff.

We have a Samsung, its a Samsung LE32R74BDX, has built in freeview, excellent picture quality and we are very happy with it, only thing to remember is you cannot record anything on freeview unless you are watching it - bit pointless
You can record another program on analogue whilst watching analogue but can't do it when watching digital, tried all ways and it cannot be done, finally gave up and contacted Samsung and they confirmed it.
Had mine over a year now, maybe they have made it possible now.
Easy to get round though - fit an external freeview box
