No tips to stop crying, but if you have any onion over, never store it in the fridge.

Hehehe..... yes.

Apparently keeping onions in the fridge causes them to undergo some sort of chemical change. They give off some sort of gas and their taste becomes more acidic. I can't be any more technical than that I'm afraid.

I saw it on some cookery programme and have never stored mine in a fridge since.
