Pennine reach?
Did anyone else get a leaflet through the door about the proposed changes to church gateway?
A double roundabout arrangement is proposed for the church gateway junction ...etc.....it will also include signal controlled crossing facilitys for cyclists and pedestrians. it looks like them building which are tatty nr the P.O are gonna be knocked down and the road made wider too! http://www.transportforlancashire.co...h/leaflets.asp click church gateway

I've printed the leaflet out and it looks like its going to replace Elmans Folly or Church traffic lights, although there is no road names on the map. The only time the traffic flows with ease is when the lights arn't working so this should be a big impovement

Road names are there albeit very faint. Henry Street is top right and Union Road is bottom left.
Toucans haven't replaced pelicans, they are a new alternate crossing for use on cycle routes and can be used by pedestrians as well.
