Apparently Lidl has been knocked down?

This really true?

And apparently the owner of Accrington Conservative Club has submitted a planning application to pull it down.
Anyone know anything about this?

Homebase is slated for closure. Lidl'd be better waiting and buying that site to be closer to the town centre.

But why are homebase closing? It's a good store to have. Maybe b&q or wikes will buy it.
