Re: Scotland

The West of Scotland is said to be warm and wet, the East cool and dry.

It's the west coast of Scotland, that is warmed by the Gulf Stream.

You'll find palm trees grown there, but it's all relative. It'll still be cooler than the Gulf (of Mexico) from whence it came.

I lived up there for three years, and usually found the best weather was in the late spring/early summer.

If you go near the summer solstice in June, you'll have daylight for about twenty hours a day, if you go far enough up...and in the small towns and villages the pubs only close when you leave.

Re: Scotland

The warmest place I have been to in Scotland, and definately one of the nicest, is a place called Wick, take all roads north and you get there eventually.

Yeah if you have a couple hundred for the drink and the same for a bed at night. LAst night out in Edinburgh at the Grassmarket it was 58 to get home. Pay 32-38 from Glasgow and the drink is cheaper.
