Siren???

Did anyone else get woken by some sort of siren going off at about 4 this morning?? It was just like a constant tone, not a house / car alarm or anything like that. What on earth was it? (Other than very annoying )

Re: Siren???

If the siren was sounding for that long there must have been a serious problem at the plant, as yet nothing on the LT web site. I used to cringe when the siren sounded at Nipa (Cockers) it always meant problems

My Ma told me about it too......and she lives in Woodnook.
she couldn't get back to sleep after being woken, so she is rather cranky today.

I think it was the fact that arsenic is stored/used there that stopped the re-developement of buildings like the Commercial, it is considered to dangerous nowadays to have people living to close.

It is the presence of the 1 tonne chlorine cylinders as to why there has been no re-development there.
I didn't hear any siren this morning.
