Mytton fold farm is an excellent venue, my sister held her reception there. You can also get married there.

Re: Wedding Venues
We had ours at Whitehall Country Club in Darwen - used to be really nice and I think it's just reopened.

Re: Wedding Venues
Was a bridesmaid for my friend and fellow Accywebber 'Mange' in June this year. She got married at Whitehall Country Club in Darwen. We had a cracking day there, the service was perfect and the food excellent. Nice surroundings for the photos and a lovely bridal suite for us to get changed in. Like most of these places, the drinks are quite pricey but we smuggled in a couple of bottles of Champers which were quaffed whilst we were getting ready, hence tipsy bridesmaids.....

totally argree with you chav about the beautiful setting, unfortunately when i attended a wedding there recently it rained so not all of the wedding party wanted to go out for the photos which caused alot of probelms for the staff who had to rearrange the seating from the wedding ceremony to the reception, so as you can imagine there was alot of suffling around as the chairs were moved around and the tables brought in as the room was not very big. the food wasn't up to much either.
