what would you do if you were passed a million pounds

but there is a catch -

you are allowed to keep half of it, the other half you must use to do good.
you dont get to keep your half until you have used the half that is not yours
you are not allowed to give it to anybody you know ( not even friends of freinds etc)
you are not allowed to give it to any charities, or set up a new charity
you cannot use it to buy "material" things such as cars, electronics etc
you can use it to buy materials for things such as building materials, equipment and promotion.
after you have used the half that isnt yours
what would you do with the remaining money ?

Well seeing you can buy building materials I would sort out the building of a stadium for FC United so they no longer have to pay rent to Bury for use of Gigg Lane. That would make a big hole in the first half a million.

Well FC Uniteds fund could sort the rest out as they are in the process of raising money for a new stadium and have been for a couple of years now,so my reconing is that it could well be job sorted

Re: what would you do if you were passed a million pounds

With the half that wasn't mine I would pay for some life saving ops and/or medicines which the NHS cannot afford. I don't think the NHS counts as a charity does it?

Then with my half I would buy a house I've got my eye on in Morecambe and have central heating fitted in it and decorate and furnish it to our taste whilst still keeping this house here. Then we could use that house as our holiday home until such time as the kids no longer need us to be living here, then Busman and I could settle permanently up there and the girls could have this house if they still wanted to stay here.
