I caught a glimpse of a red leaflet in her hand as she walked away and coupled with the fact that I saw Ian Ormerod knocking on other doors nearby I'm pretty sure she was Labour.

But then, I wondered what she meant. Does she think I'm a sure thing (think again) or does she think I spend more time talking to Tories these days that I'm a lost cause (again, think again).

Answers on a postcard please.

But on a slightly serious note - now I haven't got the Labour group's leaflet, so if someone could send me one I'd appreciate it please. As for the Tories, they've long since been avoiding my door so I don't know what they're standing for either. I think I'm going to be the least informed person in the borough if everyone keeps avoiding me.
Are you sure it was Ian, Gayle?

Actually, no, I'm not sure it was Ian - it was Chris that said it was, I just saw the back of whoever it was.

Oh, well, that adds to the mystery.

I can give you an unbiased view on what the parties stand for if you like Gayle..... I don't think we've had a Tory leaflet either. We've had a few from Councillor Jones, although you wouldn't know he was the Labour candidate if you didn't already know him, no Labour signs in sight, almost as if he's ashamed.

I can inform you Clare we don't and never have done leaflet targeting (except last minute pledge letters), if she ain't had one its a pure mistake, canvasing yes, like I suppose you do to, no use wasting time knock on the opposition.

Of course it's worthwhile, you might come across some silver tongued citizen who can show you the error's of your ways.

Re: Where Do I Vote

I was up Ossy the other night canvasing for Dorothy, and I was told by one Tory supporter that she keeps a picture of P.B in her garden.

Apparently they are very good for keeping the cats away. That's what she told me anyway.

Re: Where Do I Vote

i've always knocked on everyones doors while out canvassing ... even councillors of the other parties door ... why ... because even though they may be labour/conservative/lib dem ... the person who is answering the door may not be ... it doesnt go for everyone in the house that they will vote for them. And i know that for fact .... my dad was a tory ... my mum was an inbetweener tho in her later years she changed her mind .. my sister a labour supporter ... so whoever answered our door when i was a kid got different answers from whoever it was who answered the door ...

Re: Where Do I Vote

Jaysay,

The irony is that she was one of his biggest fans !!!! Its only when he started acting like an idiot that she stopped voting for him. She's one strong lady my Mother-In-Law and it'd take more than me to change her mind. So I suppose you could say that he, by assuming she was Labour, indirectly canvassed for us !!!!! There's a first time for everything I suppose !!!!!!! I always knock on every door too, just because they might not vote for you doesn't mean you shouldn't listen to them, you are still there to represent them.
