Question Womens Boots

With the recent weather and having to walk in it im trying to get some decent boots with grip and leather, had bought a pair in shoe zone & had to return them cos of a manufacturing fault, got a credit note but no luck in finding a good pair these days! I simply cannot find what i want/need, and think womens footwear manufacturers assume that women do not need any sort of grip on their footwear whatsover, or if they have grips they are not water proof to be out in all weathers, i really do not understand the logic!!

Anyone know where i can get a reasonable pair at reasonable price from, done all accy places, someone else having same issue said winfields were rubbish.............any suggestions

Re: Womens Boots

For the bad weather I chose a pair of wellies.......OK, they are not a fashion statement(althought they are a pretty pink shade with roses on them)....the grips on the soles are excellent. Exactly what is required for snow and ice. Much better than a pot arm(or leg......worse still, at my age a fractured hip).

I have been checking out leather boots in all kinds of shops, but they are for fashion rather than for practicality.......NBG(no blooming good)
Choose wellies and some thick socks......be safe on your feet, and toasty warm.

Re: Womens Boots

I bought wellies last year & gave em to my daughter, they didnt fit my leg properly too tight for tucking my pants and socks dont stay up in them that they rubbed my skin making it sore to wear them - even wellies arn't made like they used to either, hence need ankle boots

Re: Womens Boots

My wellies have a strap on the side to either loosen them or tighten them up....not the bog standard type, but were not expensive....6.99 from Aldi...and there were a few designs to choose from.
I bought some 'pink ribbon' wellies to support Breat Cancer Charity and they were the most uncomfortable wellies I have ever had......they were handed on to the charity shop.

Re: Womens Boots

Have you tried ASDA? I got some flat work boots from there and they have a good grip on them. I think they were £12.50

They are out of stock too.....as they are with lots of suppiers.
There has been a huge demand for these. I believe there is one company flying them in from Canada.

What about proper walking boots? You can always change when you get to work.
