Sorry, can't help. You left before I arrived. I was there from '57 to '64.

Re: Accrington Grammar -Does anybody know me

I attended Benjamin Hargreaves (St Paul's) at the same time, but my last year of Junior School was at Spring Hill. I was at the Grammar School, the same years that you were. My mother ran the shop on Washington St, just before the junction with Plantation St.

Re: Accrington Grammar -Does anybody know me

You a bit older than me Peelparker ... so probably wouldn't remember you at Peel Park. Brother was a year above you though at AGS.

Had to laugh ... just now got a notification that I had entered a photo from Friends Reunited under the Peel Park section ... Ugh ? was having trouble and didn't think I had .. Went to take a look ... oh yes ! four blooming times. Have now deleted three of them. Was in Miss Butterworth's class probably around 1952.

You are on there Balbus.

Yes, that is what it became after my Mum sold it to them - Fred and Essie were my cousins but some 17/18 years older than me.

Re: Accrington Grammar -Does anybody know me

Strange? People start a thread, other people respond and then the original poster doesn't respond. Hope there hasn't been a problem for Peelparker?

I use to call at Essie's shop on my way from school on Washington St. On the rare occasion we had any money of course
