Re: Great Harwood Cemetery Photo Request

It can screw your head in trying to figure out if I am emailing you on Friday whilst I am still having my Thursday. My emails are travelling into the future, I didn't realise I was that clever.

Anyway, mission accomplished, photos sent, although possibly not the result you were hoping for, but location found (2946).

Re: Great Harwood Cemetery Photo Request

Thanks Dave for the photos, even though there is no head stone the pictures show the grave site very well, I can now put them with my other records.
And also the other grave photo just behind showing the name Baxter is also family of mine.
Louisa Baxter (nee Gregory) was the wife of a Joseph Harrison Baxter.
And James Baxter who died 1987 as on the grave stone was Louisa's son and he was born 14 April 1925.
Joseph H Baxter was the brother of my grand mother Ella Victoria Kearns (nee Baxter) and Richard Baxter who is in the first unmarked grave was there father (my Great Grandfather), what a mouth full, hopes this helps a little.
So a big thank you for that picture as I wasn't expecting it.
Hope you had an enjoyable day out and once again thank you.
Should I ever be able to return the favour from this side of the world you only need ask.
Kind regards

Re: Great Harwood Cemetery Photo Request

richard and may baxter.jpgHi Michael1954
Hope the last post helps a little with how I am related to the Baxters, I have a few things about them in my Ancestry tree and I can put up a pic of two people who are in the unmarked grave.
The picture is of Richard Baxter and May Baxter (nee Birchenough) on there wedding day on the 31st of December 1898 and they married at All Saints Church in Clayton Le Moors.
If any one else has any family history info etc to share please just say, I would love to find more.

David Kearns.

I'm not sure what cousin and how many times removed that makes us but we're obviously part of the same family.
