Yeah I remember Miss Brown (little lady with big boobs!) - she was very into her music. Unfortunately, I wasn´t. Did like needlework though...we had grumpy old lady mrs Livesey and then we got Mrs Grundy (I think was her name) - she was a bit better. I liked that Cocker building when it first opened as you got a choice of meals - before that (in the old dining area) we used to have to eat at tables of eight with the meal in steel containers - to be dished out by a monitor. I remember Mr Jolleys was there most days to say grace before lunch began ......now there was a man that scared the hell out of me, far worse than Neddy!! Mr Walker was a sweety though.

I recall Mr Jolleys giving us numerous lectures about crossing the road safely outside school. Then one day he came into Assembly with his foot all bandaged up and wearing a slipper....apparently someone had run over his foot!! Lol!!

Do you remember he used to drive around in a huge whit~-ish colour jeep. He looked really out of place in it!!!! Aparently he was a JP in the local magistrates court - God, I wouldn´t have liked to have come up against him!!!

i remember mr day he took no messing around same applies for mrs snacloth and mrs ginn and mr boardman was a right bag of rules turnes out hes my brother-in-laws best friend and is now living in france

I wasn´t taught by Mrs Ginn but remember her - bit of a stickler and Mr Boardman was a bearded grump-box. I can just imagine him in France with his jesus creepers on!! and Taggy you are right - Walter Booth was the science teacher, he died maybe 24yrs ago of cancer. Must admit the name of the pump escapes me - but it was black and it used to sit on top of his blackboard!! Never gathered much dust either!!!

I recall Neddy Riding telling us that he was going to make his own coffin for when he died, wonder if he ever did that. There was also an English teacher called Miss Brown who wore short skirts and used to sit on the front of her desk during lessons...was one of the few classes were the lads used to try to bag the front desks!!!

No was definately Miss E Brown for English, there were two Browns there at the time, the other was Mrs S Brown the Music Teacher, do remember Barnes'y too though!
