Terry Gorman

I want to trace terry H Gorman, an Accrington Grammar School boy who will be about 80yrs old if he is still alive.

There's a Terence Henry Gorman b-1938 former teacher, passed away in Majorca on holiday 2008 lived/buried Bolton Lancs. Married in Chorley 1965. Photo of him on Ancestry. Possibly who you are looking for Bob.

The name is familiar Bob, will try to remember why. I assume that he was a '49er, and probably Rhyddings House, so it may be a sports connection.

Barrie's reference to Rhyddings - the houses within AGS were Rhyddings, Coppice, Willows and Clayton. New lads were placed in houses acco0rding to which area of the town they lived in. In the 1930s, there was also a School House

I remember Terry at school.During the mock election he was the Labour candidate and I was his agent.I have no recollection of him after school.

Looking at the 1949 starters on the ags website,Terry joined then but is listed by mistake as P.H.Gorman.

There are a number of mistakes on the listing. It has proved very difficult to alter them, so I am now content to ignore them, Les. I have received plenty of help from Accywebbers in making contact with Old Boys I have sought.
