Walking aids

We have several walking aids to give away to anyone who may need them. They include crutches, zimmerframe, a walking frame with wheels and tray. Also two commodes.
If anyone is interested please pm me.

If you get no response, it might be worthwhile seeing if the mobility shop in the Arndale or the one on Abbey St (top of Peel St) would take them.
They check them over and then sell that very cheaply.
I bought my Mum a pair of elbow crutches from there when she slipped and hurt her knee.

Re: Walking aids

That mobility shop is run by Homewise (a Hyndburn charity).
When I asked them to collect a trolley walker (donated free) they arranged a date, cancelled it, and never arranged a new date.

I eventually gave it away months later to someone who knew a person who needed one.
I did have space to store it but it would have been a nuisance otherwise.
I just want to point out that Homewise seem reluctant to collect even when items are free.

this was it

Re: Walking aids

I think they largely rely on volunteers Margaret.
