This will be popping along in a few years time, I can see its compulsory to be completed, can anyone explain to me as to why this would be compulsory.

The Census is compulsory
Every household must return a form by law. This is because it is
important for people not to be missed out – the Census is designed to be
a complete count of the population. Failure to make a completed return,
or giving false information, is an offence which may attract a fine of up
to £1,000

I have never objected to supplying info in the past - now I have serious doubts about how it will be used.

Thats what Im thinking, I would like to see a sample of the form.

So how will they know who is where? I mean I know a few people who are No Fixed Abode, do not vote Ect. How will they fit into the equasion.

IIRC they are not still sure who will be incharge of keeping all this data secure, from what I have looked at one inpreticulare are in the running who look a bit dodgy.

Lockheed Martin (who just so happen to be - The largest provider of IT services, systems integration, and training to the US Government).

So Our info could be stored by them, would that mean it would then come under the patriot act?

A Couple = 2

A few = 3 or more.

Perhaps if you have something to hide, = EMIGRATE lose yourself in a land that doesn't give a damn.

Fair play, but a few rimes with two.:D

Why EMIGRATE? Im already in a land that doesn't give a damn.

Only thing Im hiding is my Privacy. Do/should I not have a right to that.

Hence why I ask the questions.

I have not seen a Census form to see what questions are being asked, can you/anyone give me a example of some questions? afer all its every ten years, and I cant remember filling one in in 2001.

Do you pay tax and NIC? Do you hold a driving licence? Do you have, or had, a mortgage, bank loan, item of furniture etc. on credit? Do you own or rent a house? Do you have children? If so, your details are already held on file by one department or another.

Yes, Yes, No, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes. Exactly, So why should I HAVE TO fill a form in should I not have a option?

The idea is Mr D. they want to know just how many people are living in this country, but even so they may just have a slight problem with that because there are quite a few people here who no one actually knows who or where they are:rolleyes:
