SOS - anyone able to make a banner ASAP

Hi, the new Heritage Museum Centre opens in the Accrington Arndale on Thursday afternoon 28th November, 2013

Everything is now coming together, but we have only just realised, wouldn't it be good if we could have had a large banner made for our opening day.

Anyone out there could perhaps help us, or anyone got at least an A3 colour copier, where between us, we could "rattle" something off?

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. :alright:

No, I don't think a banner is your thing, you need to actually contact folk.

I ignore banners and from what I've seen so do most people.

I do however wish you luck with the project.
:)

Thanks very much Less. Do pop in, if you are passing, even if its "not your thing" - just come and have a look.

Why would anyone want to put a museum in a shopping centre and be liable for high rents when it could be incorporated within the library?

Dont talk daft, there aint enough room in the library for all that junk, oo er, artifacts. Saw a few things of interest, but they were mostly WW1 stuff, didn't bother much with the rest.

Well that's a really positive comment after all the hard work involved in getting this up and running.

Again the Market Hall side of the museum was closed all day: it takes up two units in the Market... and now the bulk of it is in the Arndale the Market Hall one is left... I know the people in the group do a good job: But my opinion only... is the Arndale the right place to have this.... it seems their are not enough people to keep both up and running... I have had to tell loads of people today that the Market Side was yet again closed and I of course sent them over to the Arndale ( that is also taking people out of the market hall) again not wanting to put anyone down the new units does look nice but please also keep the old one ( that got you started in the Market Hall)

I was down town today and no I don't think the Arndale is the right place for it but at least for now another empty unit is open again. I would like to see shops in all the Ardale units and hopefully we will have sometime soon.

Well with any luck having the museum presence in both the market and the Arndale will encourage footfall in both areas for other purposes as well. And why shouldn't the museum be in the Arndale? At least it's filling up some otherwise empty space. Perhaps those who object should have made their views known earlier and come up with some alterntives...

magpie 30-11-2013 16:00

Re: SOS - anyone able to make a banner ASAP

I personally did make my views known.... and they did not need an alternative they already had and still have two large units in the Market Hall ( which was closed again today) don't get me wrong the people do a great job.... they just need more help:

The museum in the market was closed so I went to see the new one in the Arndale but that was closed too at 10:40am

Yep I believe we struggled for staffing yesterday. It was unfortunate. Mix up I believe.
Please bear with us.
