Gets more difficult to photograph as it gets closer to the moon.

Re: Space Station
I tried a few times but the ice halo wasn't nearly so defined here....but jupiter was very clear.
I would have taken a picture but my monopod is packed away somewhere(haven't a clue where) until all the work on the house is completed.....and my hand is not steady enough to get such a shot with the Lumix. |
Re: Space Station
I will be watching out tonight to see if the conditions are the same....I have found my monopod.
It was in the back of the boot of the car.......but being in a black case it was hiding from me. |

Re: Space Station
It was the cloud last night which obscured the view...It kept drifting across my field of vision.
I will check tonight...especially now I have something that will stabilise the camera. |
Re: Space Station
No halo on the moon here in Stevenage tonight but Jupiter is brighter and more prominent sitting above our satellite in the night sky.

Re: Space Station
Last time I looked there was a lot of cloud cover and nothing visible.

Taken with an old 5MP camera using a doorpost to steady it (and me after a couple of slugs of Tullamore Dew).

Re: Space Station
Think we might have bought it on Amazon, before I got religion and realised how evil they are. It cost £270 - so that shows you how long ago it was. I only used it because I've managed to break my 12MP camera that cost £45 18 months ago.

Weather permitting, we may be in for a treat next month, around 90% solar eclipse on 20th March.
