When it comes to economics these guys are experts. Not only did they benefit, and are still benefiting from the Troubled Asset Relief Program (the total cost of this to the US taxpayer is over $16 TRILLION :eek:, they also made money during the '08 crisis by selling short on the Fubar they had created.:rolleyes: Goldman Sachs were fined for this ... a mickey mouse fine considering what they made, and, of course nobody went to jail.:mad: Obviously they think that they will benefit from an "In" vote. This alone should be enough to make folks lean towards "Out."

the more I read about the EU and its underhand(could say fraudulent) ways, the less I like it and I never thought much of it at the outset.
I can think of not one single reason why we should not cut loose.

So, if I commit a couple of crimes such as shoplifting, arson or murder for example, you know, nothing serious, does this mean that if I use my bus pass and board the X41 for Manchester and claim this was a stopping off point whilst on my way to migrate to Brussels they wouldn't be able to touch me?

Less you would be done for...well unless you are fluent in albanian and have only one leg...then you would get a nice house and a stipend from the government.
You couldn't make it up.
Then there is Sarah Woolaston....... a right turncoat she is. it makes me wonder if she has been got at...you know promised a nice lucrative career in government...and perhaps a seat on the EU gravy train.(for very little effort)
Everyone who knows her says 'no this is rubbish', she has no ambition to be in government(either that or someone has rattled a few skeletons)...but I say that everyone can be bought and everyone has a price.
My price is for us to leave the EU.

Woollaston only has one vote, like the rest of us.
Whatever the reason for her sudden change of view, she isn't the first and won't be the last doctor to draw the wrong diagnosis from evidence of a patient's symptoms.
Of course, when that happens, it's the patient, not the misinformed doctor, that suffers.

I was watching those two ex prime ministers on TV earlier today.
The lily livered John Major and the so called Peace Envoy Tony Blair.......they were giving their views as to why we should remain in the EU.
They both spoke authoritively and with some passion. let's not forget Tony Blair is a bigger liar than Tom Pepper(remember those weapons of mass destruction......and the promise to President Bush some two years before the unnecessary conflict in Iraq.
As for the morally bankrupt John Major(responsible for us being ejected from the Exchange Rate Mechanism..and a very strong supporter of the EU...Maastricht treaty comes to mind)...who had an affair with Edwina Currie.....I ask myself why should we believe the tripe that either of these has beens spout?

I am forced to conclude their is no reason at all...they live lives which are cosseted and as far removed from ours as it is possible to get.

Yes Sarah Woolaston only has one vote, but her defection to the Remain side of the argument may cast doubt on those who are telling us that the only way is OUT.

I think none of us are under the illusion the 350 million quid will be avaiable to be spent on the NHS.......even if it was only £200 extra that the EU mandarins did not get a sniff of...I would go for it.
Our remaining in the Eu is only going to cost us more money in the long run.Despite being the 2nd largest contributor we have little influence on what happens, as the woeful negotiaitions have proved.

Exactly my thoughts Margaret. Notice that she didn't say anything about the extra demands placed upon the NHS, schools and housing by the influx of immigrants.

Seems similar to our own M.P. he wants to get somewhere within the labour party even if it means going against his real wishes.

Yes, I think there were more of us who did the same. You could call it a triumph of hope over experience....but you and I have lived long enough to know that experience is what we pay for our life with.

When the German army entered France In the early years of the last war the press at the time came out with tales of Nuns being crucified on church doors, this was later proved to be propaganda.The press love a good story but do not let facts get in the way of truth.

How do we know that this is not something of the same, it is o/k for all of us sitting in front of a computer terminal and being able to sleep comfortably and without fear in our beds but how would we feel if we ourselves were the youngsters that are being held in those camps.

What winds me up more than anything, is seeing the women and children suffering whilst the menfolk are still allowed to sport working testicles by the will of Allah.

It may be propaganda...it may not.
Taddy, many of the people in these camps are unaccompanied men.
Women and children(from news footage) seem to be in a minority.

Many of these in camps are not refugees or they would have sought sanctuary in the first country where they made landfall which was not hostile.......this would not be Germany or any of the northern european countries.
These are economic migrants who are trying to circumvent migration systems and laws.
Angela Merkel did herself and her people no favours at all when she invited them into her country.

There are criminals making money out of these people who want to be in Europe......they should be sought out and stopped. They should be apprehended at see, escorted back to the port of departure and put ashore, then their boats should be holed and sent to the bottom of the sea.
Not a politically correct comment...but like yours, it is what I genuinely feel.
