Given you any ideas, Margaret?

Re: Old Postcards
Oh yes, but I am not getting into embroidery.
I have made a couple of birthday cards using old postcards......not ones as lovely as yours. The ones I used were tired, faded and dog eared. This did not matter as I was cutting them up. I wish I had taken pictures of them but they were made for a very old friend of Ma's.....last minute rush jobs. So they were made, signed by Ma and put into the post (24 hours from being asked to make them). I normally take pictures of all my cards, but these got missed. The lady who received them said she was going to keep them on her mantelpiece long after her birthday....she called them works of art(I am under no such illusions). I could not make anything as beautiful as those embroidered cards Frank. |

here are some of my latest creations.
The first one was made for the son of a friend of ours. The others are all cards to have in 'stock'....none of them have verses in them as I write personal verses depending on who they are going to. The butterfly one is my favourite.....it is hand painted with iridescent paints and the picture does not do justice to the colours. |
