Wedding Anniversary
 

Well, my Accrington man and me have been married 59 years today. Not sure where the years have gone but they have! Slightly different weather then and now – today in South Australia it’s around 35 C, but on February 23rd 1957 in Lancashire it was very, very cold. There was snow, ice and sleet.

As a matter-of-fact when the wedding car went to collect the bridegroom-to-be the windscreen wipers kept getting stuck and the driver had to manually and regularly wipe the snow and ice off the glass. Wasn’t sure if he could make it to the church safely – his nibs says he should have taken this as an omen. Cheeky b…..

Wether you stay at home and relax,go to the local garden centre for cream teas or hire a venue with all the trimmings,Congratulations to you both Dotti.

It may just be me but couples these days can't seem to stay together like couples from t'olden days....

...Genuine question,what the hell do you talk about after 50+yrs of marriage? :)

Many thanks for all the good wishes and kind thoughts. We had a nice, relaxing day - maybe next year we'll do something special. I'm not one for having a fuss made (though I think he secretly enjoys it) but don't think we'll be able to get out of that one.
