Goodbye Friends

Over the years Willow and I have enjoyed a good friendship with all of you AccyWebbers. Many of you attended our wedding in 2005 and we regularly see many of you in Accrington. We fondly remember the monthly "meets" especially the last one held in The "Stag" before it closed it's doors for good. We almost burned the place down that night playing about with candles :thepint:

This thread is just to inform you all that Willow and I are moving to Wales in a months time, we plan to enjoy our retirement as much as possible before we get too old and decrepit! :couchplus

We will, of course be in touch through the Accyweb.

Stay safe everyone :kiss8:

Hope you both have a lovely retirement and enjoy your new lives in Wales.

Wales is a lovely place and could only be better if it was in Lancashire (and no Welsh) :D:D

I echo everyone else's sentiments, however just because your moving to Wales surely you aren't going to be cut off from the internet, you can still come on and grumble, technology will allow it.

I guess it might just depend which Welsh mountain gets in the way Less.

The sea on one side and mountains on the other three Less, well out in the sticks and a population of under 2,000 :D - but they DO have cable even though we are yet to find a mobile network that has any sort of signal :tongueout Don't worry though, I will be on the Accyweb to nag you occasionally. :type:

Re: Goodbye Friends

I am half envious.
I have spent many happy holidays in Llandudno....but I have to say the phone signal and internet were inevitably rubbish.
I had to go up into the attic and lean out of the window to get a phone signal(and sometimes even such measures were fruitless) but the sea and the mountains and the good bracing air more than made up for such things...and think of all those lovely country walks.

Looks like the attraction of Wales changed the plans you had a few years ago. I hope your retirement to the land of the leek is a long and happy one.

Yes, for years we were thinking of coming up your way but somehow we headed in the opposite direction.

We'd been looking at old stone built cottages and beamed ceilings then ended up both falling in love with a new build!

Certainly not predictable are we?
