It is with deep regret to inform everyone that my dad Michael Gordon Blackledge and moderator of Accrington web also passed at at 5.30am on Friday morning. He was a Grandad a Farther and a Husband. His funeral details will be posted in due course his family would really like to See your support there if possible as he was a member for many years before becoming very ill. He will be missed so so dearly.

RIP Mick. Only met him once in the Railway after Jaysay's funeral, but he seemed a great bloke. Condolences to his family.

So deeply sorry to hear this sad news. Mick was such an important part of this forum and gave so much to it, it is like losing a family member. My sincere condolences to his family. RIP Mick.

I think it was Mick that I met once at his house in Persia St, where I lived until 1960. He had a great attitude towards the running of the forumand one of the reassons why Accyweb is still going strong when other towns' sites have failed. I wonder if he was related to a policeman called Gordon Blackledge who I worked with in Accrington in the years around 1960. He was one of the first to work on the newly-built M6
