What is it with all the watchers with strange names....ghosting us tonight.
None of them seem to have posted anything.....might they be potential spammers?

They have been on a couple of days now i think they may even be hackers? but what do i know!

They were on like this in the early part of the year...just watching.
I think that Neil instituted some kind of verification process before new members can post...so maybe they have not been verified.
They all appear to have strange names and none has posted anything.

I think they are all spambots/forum spammers

If you look at their details, almost all have Biography as Man and Interests seems to be a variant of their username... and occupation seems to be a country...

Yes.....that would be a likely answer.
At one time....Cashy will verify this, we were inundated with spammers.....and the site was hacked a couple of times.
I know that Neil put processes in place to try to nip this in the bud....and so far it seems to have been very effective.
We are not getting posters with strange names showing pornographic images....or exotic resorts in Vietnam.

Defo seems to have helped big time imho, load still on now but nowt vile has appeared. noticed that yeh can still send message to em via skype, hope no-ones daft enough.!

Six of the people currently online are in US and joined between 5-7 Jan this year. They probably know each other due to the interests being written in the same way, ie their username with 2 capital letters after it. I wonder if they are the same person?

Dont know for sure, but very much doubt it, unless the same person has loads and loads of different computers? cos if the same person uses the same computer with different usernames the mods ban em normally. imho.

Unless they are using a VPN(virtual private network) as this hides your IP address.
I could be wrong, but I think that however many computers you have at one address, I think they will all use the same IP address.

I am happy to be corrected if I have got this bum uppards.

Possibly partially solved it. All the US users have essayerudite.com as their website which is an essay writing service. The attached link is to a review website where a number of users report them as being scammers. If this is so they perhaps need removing if this is possible.

Neil has set up a verification process of some kind...so these members will not get on to scam as they will not be permitted to post.
Anyone sensible will not use their Skype to contact them as they are an nknown quantity.
All they can really do is 'ghost'
I think they are 'spammers' rather than scammers.

We did have a problem in the past with spammers, but Neil seems to have cracked it.
