Accrington Observer obituaries

Just wondering if the folks from the Observer who use this site as a news source can let us know why the web sites 'Obits' page hasn't been up-dated for a couple of weeks . Know for a fact that quite a few ex Accrington folks who live overseas like to do a weekly check to see who they have out lived . Also think editing work needs to be done on the family announcement section, don't think many Accrington Observer web site users are interested in who has passed on in the Greater Manchester area
Thanks

It appears that no-one has died in Hyndburn in the past two weeks.
Now that IS good news - maybe Hyndburn should be promoted as a health spa town

Re: Accrington Observer obituaries

Hi everybody,
Sorry for this late answer, but I've just found a way of getting into the "Obits" for accrington in the MEN.
Try the following:
- Enter the Accrington Observer Website
- Select "Family Notices"
- In the MEN Website select the box "Search"
- Type in Accrington
- This way you will get all the "Obits" for Accrington
Not sure how Long this has been available, because I've been trying for years, and even writing e-mails to the MEN hasn't helped either. As this is so simple, I suspect this was done on the "Shy" by MEN.

Cheers

Philip

That'll make it easier for me to have a look and see If I'm still alive.

Re: Accrington Observer obituaries

I was going to set aside some money to employ a chimp after my demise to bash at my keyboard randomly to see if anyone noticed

sadly during a practice run the chimps drew up a document that got leaked and is now the new labour manifesto
