Accrington Pals medal

How very sad to see that on Ebay, an Accrington Pals medal is up for grabs.
It belonged to a lad called C. N. Wilkinson who was a 2nd Liet
Lets hope a relative sees it, or that someone in Accrington buys it. I might even have a go and at least donate it to Accrington Town Hall, to go in the display case there.

Re: Accrington Pals medal

I recently had a book out the library titled In adversity medals and honours awarded to men serving in the raf regiment 1942 till the present time A full page details the heriocs of a sergeant henry phillipson a memberof 2811squadron raf regiment at the end of the page it says on his demob he returned to being a millhand at a accrington mill The question I ask where is he know now does the name ring a bell to anyone as regards the medal were is it At the present time the raf regiment museum at honington have a special gallery where medals have been given to them or left to them and visiters from round the world can view better that than a slot on e-bay
