Avoid Eastgate

If anybody is thinking of driving round town soon, avoid Eastgate, it's been closed off because of a major accident. Air ambulance had to land there earlier.

The victims are seriously ill in Royal Blackburn Hospital. The care left the road before colliding with a young woman with a pram before hitting the building.

jumping the gun a little, maybe the car driver had a heart attack? i cant see how anyone would carry enough speed there to seriously hurt themselves. thoughts go out to everyone involved and i hope it isn't as bad as people have mentioned but they have the green SOC tents up so that doesn't look good.

well have to wait and see but with all teh red light jumping along eastgate the odds are somones probably had to swerve to avoid a red light shooter but as you say it could have been a heart attack at the wheel or a mechanical fault to the car

cause dosnt really make teh result any easier to dijest though

Re: Avoid Eastgate

It was terrible round there, saw air ambulance landed in middle of east gate further up from broadway pub, a green car front smashed facing towards burnley rd junction, the purple / blue car front impacted corner of karimoor building, thats the position as police sealed off area.
