just got back...... there's deckchairs outside oddies, a guy doing circusy stuff (juggling, unicycle, juggling while sitting on a very tall pole thing) free face painting (ty is now spiderman) balloon modelling, a fire engine, a jazz band (they are pretty good) ......it was worth the wander down in the rain and ty loved it.

samaritans? you mean the guy with the pan pipes that plays a recording and pretends its him? thats who was outside m&s when we were there...
The jazz band included a double bass, clarinet, trumpet,trombone, banjo'y thing (im not a string player lol) and a snare drum.......they were really good.They were outside home bargains/new £land
