Rotten Borourgh in what sense? Corrupt or the 19 century description ie
"English parliamentary constituency, that returned members to Parliament in spite of having small numbers of electors and shrinking population. "

Re: Britcliffe monthly.

After it was pointed out that Gayles offer of a biscuit at her meet and greet would need to be investigated re: funding, it did of course cross my mind as to who/what funded this?

Now if only Peter would join as a member, rather than read what we write as a guest,I'm sure he would give a full explanation.

I'm referring to the 18/19th century context of a rotten borough, whereby the small number of constituents non-secret votes could be bought with cash, ale, loose women and possibly even calenders.

Hey Spuggie - are you Britcliffe in disguise?

Re: Britcliffe monthly.

I’m constantly amazed how these little innocuous events bring out the best of us…….Why should this gentleman not produce a Calendar, in fact this is an excellent marketing product that keeps the object of desire in the Kitchens and offices of the populace.

I was disappointed that I could acquire a calendar featuring Blackburn Rovers, Burnley and Liverpool and the like from the shops in the Arndale, but not a Stanley Calendar, Now that’s what I call controversial.

However, I digress. Was this item of ridicule centred purely on Mr Britclit or his political party of choice?

Is it tasteful? And can it be reproduce on here so we can all have one?

Question? What happened to the naked Accyweb calendar?

Re: Britcliffe monthly.

It's local, well it is if you live in my ward and were lucky enough to get one, so I thought it would be an interesting titbit to share with you.

And I’m grateful for you doing so; Altough I'm far from local I would like to see the content of this item. Is there anything similar happening in any of the other wards?

Re: Britcliffe monthly.

I can't speak for other wards where Peter isn't up for re-election.

Perhaps people could say here if they got anything similar where they live?

It does have three telephone numbers on it for him, perhaps you could call him and ask for one.

Give us his number then, or you could get me on being on first name terms ……….Is there any funding credits printed on it?
