Not being funny but if the press have taken up this story it will grow out of all proportion, next thing you know the sun will be offering money to get mobile phone pics of the unfortunates involved.. but if true then the husband has sole rights to the welfare of his wife.. the SS only have the power to do this sort of thing short while.. if what has been reported is true then the husband should challenge them in court with legal aid.. I understand this maybe unpractical for a very old man but help is there.. and I for one would put my money were my gob is to help

Years ago I used to help out at an Age Concern carers night. The carer and the person they cared for would be brought to the Esme unit for a couple of hours on a wednesday night. One couple were in their 90's and the husband cared for the wife, which was thought to be the best option, how times have changed.
