Agreed Eric, but it seems the American film makers make mostly 'we are the hero's' American films, they dont mind making films where the Brits were the criminals, but dont seem too keen on making films about thier own war crimes.

I personally loved the SATC movie,and the first X-files movie and am really looking forward to the new one!
Wouldn't have minded a friends one either!
Am i the only one?

There is a good reason for this: apart from Grenada, America has got into a bad habit of losing their wars. But what does this matter when, a few years later, you can win the same war in the movies  The Germans do a better job: Das Boot and Stalingrad. Altho' in Das Boot, I still get strange looks from my friends as I cheer as the RAF bomb and strafe the U-Boat .... I do it to make the point that, however good the movie, however brave the "heroes", they are still the bad guys.
