Good Bye to Brookside!
I know that the fields at the bottom of the Coppice and round the back of Ardenhall, that have had houses built on them - really remind me of the type of location that Brookside would resemble. And that reminds me tommorow night is the last Brookside ever? apparently Barry Grant makes a suprise comeback 8) Anyone here into soaps? or is that a daft question?

Re: Good Bye to Brookside!
Sorry it's a bit off topic, but every Christmas my mum brings me a video of good comedy series. Can anyone give me any tips on what's good at the mo? Something that would really make me laugh..??

Re: Good Bye to Brookside!
I can honestly say i never watched a single episode and the only thing I know about the programme is that they had two women kissing in it once (forgot to tune in that day as well) and thats all I know about it. hmm apart from the fact its full of mickey mousers
Then again I dont watcj corry, eastenders or any oher soap for the last 10 or 20 years... I used to watch crossroads maybe 20+ years ago and i will suffer a few minuted of soaps while the wife and daughters watch them now...
When I was at school I recall the whole house had to be quiet and not disturb my mum when Peyton Place was on ...
Brookside? Its been and gone and I never saw it... Be honest.. Did I miss anything apart from THAT kiss ?

Re: Good Bye to Brookside!
Whoo I used to rush home from school to watch payton place.
Thought it was brilliant.
Barbra Parkins has Constance Mcenzie.
Ryan o Neil - Rodney - Phaw facter ther.
Ali Magraw - Has Alison.
Was sad to see brookie end but there is always the DVD they are bringing out. So it's not totally lost.

Re: Good Bye to Brookside!
There is a rumour that Coalition Forces in Iraq are making captured members of Saddams regime watch wall-to-wall Brookside to make them talk.........apparently, it's the only form of mental torture which is acceptable under the terms of the Geneva Convention, and as such this is the true reason that the trendy's who run Channel 4 have decided to end the series....
