Gordon Brown.....happy to take a Pay Cut.

Well, he can afford it....he is on £194.250 per year.
He says he isn't in the job for the money.
Maybe he is in the job for ther 'perks'....and maybe we should stop paying him.

When money is about to totally lose its value, he needs to resort to his second reason-
Power - it is usualy a 'man thing' but Maggie felt it too.
Eventually these 'elected persons' will realise their true calling is to humbly serve

Maggie had feelings Power might be the ultimate aphrodisiac; but women crave it too. By the way, you split both infinitives Well, two out of three Sorry but wine turns me into a pedant.

Good, but normally when people are crap at their job they get kicked out. Shame he is the one that decides when the election is and will thus hang on!

Nope dont let him take a paycut put him and all MP's on performance related pay and tie expense claims to the money earned and pay it a year in arrears. Then we might get our money's worth out of them all. Andrewb is right that if he was a non performer anywere else he would be out on his butt, though I am not saying who should be in.
