Hey Pete,wheres The Book?

Heard this mentioned a couple of times in the media & have wondered about it myself but when The Whos guitarist Pete Townsend got arrested & subsequently released a few years ago on the charge of having child porn on his computer,he came up with the excuse that he was doing research for a book.So far no book,as far as i & a few others are aware.Should'nt the old bill be be re-investigating this case,or did a couple of autographs & some Who memorabillia buy them off,allegedly?

probably gave up on it seen as it got him into so much trouble

hard call to make on this one , he could have been genuine with his resasons but also its a pretty clever excuse

i would hate to have been abused but i could imagine somone who has been researcing it to try and help them come to terms with it, god only knows how messed up somones head gets after abuse especialy as a child but on the other hand some people who are abused do go on to do the same as was done to them

i woldnt say this was as clear cut a case as gary glitters is


dont wanto go too far off topic here but have you seen that show called to cacth a predator i think its called where they set up meets with pervs of the internet with somone posing as a child and film them and confront them on live tv , they also have cops on standby to arrest them after they finish

pretty good idea getting these pervs faces on tv

though i'm highly suspicious, agree wi accyman its a hard one to call. though i'm more "Against" Townsend than for, i aint sure.

Yeah i liked that predators accyman.
Think its a great idea to expose them on national telly.
The excuses they come up with are priceless and the lies!!
Should get a programme like that over here instead of hiding their identities.

we should pick up a few things from the yanks when it comes to dealing with these scum, i watched the show and was actualy hoping the pedo would make a run for it so that the cop had an excuse to shoot

I'm not really condoning the shooting of Townsend,he has'nt been found guilty yet(for all ye rednecks out yonder).Just wondering wether the case should be re-opened.

i dont think the case should be re opened but the second hes caught with pictures like the ones he had again then all the evidence siezed in the first ivestigation shoudl be added as well and him be tried for the lot
