Horses Killed in darwen.
4 horses were killed in Darwen yesterday by vandals who set fire to the stables.
Where the hell is it all going to end? Horses killed in Darwen arson attack (From Lancashire Telegraph)

It's very near to where I live. About 2 miles south of Darwen town centre and in a decent area.
I'm surprised that there hasn't been more response to this story. Perhaps if it had been a Daily Mail article it would have warranted a 7 page thread?

I consider myself a really understanding person and can usually try to see someone else's perspective on things or try and understand why they do things but in this instance I can't for the life of me understand what possesses someone to do this. It's mindless, cruel and if it were up to me the people who did it would be branded with a hot iron across their forehead.
I know I might come across as a bleeding liberal every now and then - but I actually think 'an eye for an eye' and punishment should be severe when it's really due! |

I saw it on the news last night, they were showing pics of the horses and giving a little eulogy for each of them......'this is sandy, she was 3 years old and liked eating mints and having cuddles' (that kinda thing)it was really sad and the poor little kids crying over their beloved pet was awful. The fireman said they had to restrain people thatwere trying to run into the fire to save them.
