Hyndburn oil refinery ....Evening Telegraph story

Know I've been out of the area for a while , but I was surprised to read a headline on the Evening Telegraph web-site that Hyndburn had an oil refinery ......images of a giant Shell or Esso plant with cracker plants and flares burning off gas.....only on clicking on the story did I find out they were talking about the Glue factory , the animal by-products rendering plant that used to spead a stink over Church and the area for many years .

I am sure you will remember from our days at J T Rothwells,they had feral cats that were much bigger than the average cat ,and more vicious too.
