Always enjoyed his company on those times we caught up with him, a proper friendly fella. Our thoughts & sympathy go out to his family & friends at this very difficult time.

RIP Mick. Only met him once in the Railway after Jaysay's funeral, but he seemed a great bloke. Condolences to his family.

Re: ***Michael Gordon Blackledge***

I think it was Mick that I met once at his house in Persia St, where I lived until 1960. He had a great attitude towards the running of the forumand one of the reassons why Accyweb is still going strong when other towns' sites have failed. I wonder if he was related to a policeman called Gordon Blackledge who I worked with in Accrington in the years around 1960. He was one of the first to work on the newly-built M6
