Don't think it matters whether it's Accy Ross or Moorhead as long as they have the opportunity to do it in Hyndburn.
My 2 couldn't study A levels in Accy and had no choice but to go to Blackburn...and they chose St Mary's as opposed to Blackburn college, as the better option.

Given the choice they would have preferred to stay local and go straight on from year 11 and study there.
They still do A levels but they are grouped into specialisations in a way because you have to take a particular 4 together, you can't pick and choose.

Which is no good if you need certain groups of A levels to qualify for certain degree courses is it?, which is why few of Moorhead students went on there.

The odd thing is that back in the olden days when it was Accrington High School for Girls they did have a sixth form and they did do A levels. I know, cos I was there! (apologies to Morecambe-Expat for nicking his Max Boyce quote )
