Being a good samaritan is not exactly an instinctive choice now because if those handing out the thumping to a victim turn on you then you loose. If you defend yourself then you are likely to be up before the court facing a heavier time than those who were perpatrating the assault against the victim you helped. That or the thumping you get is serious enough to put you in hospital because they parted a part of your with a weapon. Even worse it could be both.

Sadly Spuggie I have to agree with you and feel it's very sad that people can call out for help and be totally ignored now because people are afraid of getting involved - and then we say "How could someone have been murdered in broad daylight? Didn't anyone see anything?"
