One and Other

Out of 30,000 people who applied, I was offered one of the 2,400 spots on the plinth in Trafalgar Square. Unfortunately, I had to turn it down because it was at 1am - 2am on Saturday 5th September and I can't get down there and back in between shows on the Friday night and Saturday afternoon (Sparks shows that I'm directing)! Actually, I'm a bit gutted that I've had to turn it down but priorities are priorities.

But, let's just say for a minute that I had accepted, what could I have done with my hour? Or, what would you do if you had an hour on the plinth?

id probably end up advertising accyweb ... dodging the raindrops .. or reading a book ..

I would read out loud lots of children's stories, as I always loved reading to my kids and putting on the different voices .. probably Rhoul Dahl ...the more wicked the better. Lots of nonesense poems too ... kids love those.

At that time on a Saturday night you could have played tennis.

Fending off all the things that would have been lobbed at you, by the thousads of drunks waiting for their night buses, just a few meters away.
