I think this was a bargain:
Previous auction listing: Oswald House, Rhyddings Street, Oswaldtwistle, Accrington, BB5 3ER Hopefully it'll be converted into something useful. |

Got planning permission for conversion to apartments a few years ago but never implemented. Certainly looks an eyesore!

Yes it is. I believe it was the Liberal Club from way back in the day when they were a real political party.
Went to previous auction for 100k, but no takers, dropped to 50k which rightly got some interest and sold for 77k. Big old building will obviously take several times that sum to fix, but better that someone takes it on than it be allowed to go the way of the Conservative Club. |
