Try actually reading the article before you tell people more are closing, NOWHERE in that article does it say more are closing

No Bee, you got it right.
The article in the AO begins "Pubs in Hyndburn are closing at a rate of more than one a month". Please note the tense used - present. It does not say 'were' closing. There is nothing in the article to indicate the rate of closures is in any way likely to change. In fact, after the Wetherspoons opening and recent Tesco/Morrisons off sales, the only question remaining is 'what pubs are next to close?' Shaz, go back to bed. |

Black Horse, Abbey Street, Accrington Oddfellows, 303 Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors King Street Pub Co, King Street, Accrington Shoulder of Mutton, 6 Cross Edge, Oswaldtwistle Great Eastern, Arnold Street, Accrington Oak Tree, Blackburn Road, Accrington Adelphi, Avenue Parade, Accrington Globe, Blackburn Road, Accrington Foxhill, Union Road, Oswaldtwistle Queens, Church Street, Church The Plough, Tanpits Road, Church Industry, Church Street, Accrington ...enough to bring a chill to any self-respecting drinker's heart. If they carry on closing down at this rate, there'll be none left in a few years. A (literally) sobering thought!
