I heard on Rock FM this morning that it was a double decker bus, not your ordinary mini or single decker.  You would think they would have MORE care with a BIGGER bus.  But i agree with happyone and Mik, that bus station is a complete mess.

My thoughts and prayers are with the ladies family too.

Condolences to this ladies family.
Don't  think we should be putting any names here as it wouldn't be appropriate, but will message you Jo.

This was a tragedy waiting to happen and my thoughts go out to this lady's family, the state of our bus station is appalling.

Its really sad what has happened, i heard it on the radio about 6.30 pm, thing is though it will only be a matter of time before a taxi knocks somebody over and hurts them, has anybody noticed them racing round to get to a £2 job ?

A tragady waiting to happen.
The family are in all our thoughts.
I have just one word for the council people.
Bollards.
Back to to stones and statues. They pay all that money for a stupid things to be errected in the middle of roads and towns but make a song and dance about paying good money to make a bus station that is safe.

i agree with all it is a tragedy, an accident waiting to happen. and bordercollie is right about the taxis, and as mentioned before on accy web the padestrian area outside townhall is like a race track, unless police and councill clamp down i feel there is potential for more tragedies.  my deepest sympathy is with the ladies family...
