As much as most decent people will stay off the streets, others will have no choice, and be out there tonight, on those streets, trying to go about their lawful business.

Nurses, hospital/transport workers, mothers going into labour, for instance.

It is daft and I reckon the police would not like the idea of shooting people even if they are looting..the events of this evening are bad but this sort of thing has been going on in Northen Ireland for 40 years.. would you say that the looters and rioters there should be shot on sight?.. the last time anything like that happend we ended up with years of massacers.. get a grip.

Perhaps people may leave London after this, and now claim political asylum in places like Somalia, and Iraq, because they're deemed safer.

As as been said by others, this criminal civil unrest is no different from the mindless acts of violence we saw/see in Northern Ireland.
