Come on..............name and shame......................i remember once when i was in my early 20`s me and my dad went to lookers(Volkswagen) in burnley to look and test drive the new Polo, my dad was a painter and decorator and i was in my work stuff as was my dad, nobody took any notice of us so we had to approach them went we did their attitude stank and they could`nt be bothered so out we walked.........with the £10,000 cash in our pockets to the Fiat garage where we were treated with respect and have bought new Fiats every 3 years since..........!

I know that it it part of the job of working in store, but it is a personal peeve of mine that I don't like to be overwhelmed by help, when I don't need it .... but this is just a personal thing, and most good clerks will realize this and politely back off until I'm ready to part with some coin .... I think that part of being a good clerk, is to be able to "read" your customers, because they are all different.

That's one of mine too Eric. If I'm just browsing and looking for ideas and inspiration an overkeen "Can I help you? Were you looking for something in particular?" will more often than not send me looking for the door.

It was the Bridal shop at the top of Warner street that was the worst.The Bridal room i think its called.

My last three cars were Fiats pipinfort, I had a Panda, then 2 UNOs which I liked, quite economical and had very few mechanical problems. What are you driving at the moment
